  • 6 Cups Water
  • 2 Whole Cloves or a bit of Powdered Cloves

Pot of Haitian White Rice
Instructions
  1. In a pot, fry diced onion, garlic and Epis. Allow to brown.
  2. Add salt (to taste). Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse into the oil.
  3. Next, add the 6 cups of water and the clovess to the pot. Bring to a boil.
  4. While the water is boiling, rinse the rice at least 3 times
  5. When the water boils, add the rice. Cover and allow to steam cook
  6. Cook until the water is finished; this takes 10-15 minutes
  7. Reduce the heat ad mix in some butter. (Butter is optional)
