Plate of Boiled Plantain and Haitian Chicken
Instructions
  1. Rinse off the plantain.
  2. Cut the two end pieces, slit the skin from the meat of the plantain and cut the plantain in half
  3. Add the plantain, salt and water to a pot and bring to a boil. Allow to boil for 15-20 minutes
  4. When the plantain is cooked, remove the skin
  5. Add the juice of half a lime—this will make the plantain a pretty yellow
  6. Lightly remove the first layer of the plantain and it’s ready to serve
