- 1 Plantain
- 2 Cups Water
- Salt
- 1/2 Lemon or Lime

Instructions
- Rinse off the plantain.
- Cut the two end pieces, slit the skin from the meat of the plantain and cut the plantain in half
- Add the plantain, salt and water to a pot and bring to a boil. Allow to boil for 15-20 minutes
- When the plantain is cooked, remove the skin
- Add the juice of half a lime—this will make the plantain a pretty yellow
- Lightly remove the first layer of the plantain and it’s ready to serve
